e-Capture Research and Development S.L., is a technology-based company located in Merida (Badajoz), created to specifically develop EyesMap product. Six out of seven of the partnerships of the company are experienced surveyors with more than 10 years working in the sector.
e-Capture began the research and development work, counting only with its
own funds and in the summer of 2013 was helped with public funds from an European call (FEDER-INNTERCONECTA). This call required the association with other two companies and the investment of 1.5 million euros, to receive a non-repayable grant of 800.000 euros. Both companies involved in this project (Solventia and Toponova) have agreed in the shareholders' agreement to leave to e-Capture the ownership of the developed technology.
Currently, the company is working in two projects: EyesMap and EyesCar. EyesMap has a high level of development and a functional prototype is expected for this summer of 2014, which will be validated along the autumn this year and will be ready for sale to the general public in January 2015. EyesCar is a project very related to EyesMap, as it uses part of its technology, but requires investment to complete its development. Its technology validation has been finished. Therefore, EyesCar is a pilot project that gives impressive results, far exceeding the competition rivals.
