Episcopal Divinity School (EDS) is a progressive ministerial school with a rich history.
Located in Boston’s historical Harvard Square, EDS has been a leader in ministerial education for more than 130 years.
Today, EDS offers master’s degrees in Divinity and Theological Studies, as well as a doctorate in Ministry. All of EDS’ academics
incorporate progressive themes of social justice and multiculturalism. EDS’ student body is also multicultural and includes students from different socio-economic and religious backgrounds.
EDS’ way of evaluating students is also progressive. All of EDS’ programs are competency-based, meaning that students master certain competencies or skills before moving onto the next level of study.
Additional programs of study include a certificate program in Theological Studies and continuing education classes.
College life activities include multicultural student organizations, religious services, recreational activities and academic lectures.
Materials required for admission to EDS’ master’s programs include:
* An admissions application
* Transcripts
* Four letters of recommendation
* An autobiographical essay
* A resume
Master’s degree applicants must also interview with two members of the EDS faculty.
Every year, EDS offers two full-tuition scholarships to academically outstanding students. Additional financial aid awards include Stafford loans, which eligible students may obtain after completing a FAFSA.
