About the Company
FRA is a civil authority subordinated to the Ministry of Defence. FRA’s main site is located at Lovön, just west of Stockholm. Its Signals Intelligence activities are carried out from different locations throughout the country.
FRA supplies intelligence to the Government of Sweden, to the Swedish Armed Forces, and to other concerned authorities.
FRA also provides cyber security services for selected government authorities and state-owned companies. FRA deals with detection and counter measures against cyber-attacks aimed at Swedish critical national IT-infrastructure.
FRA was established in 1942.
