All of Green Mountain College’s students take a set number of courses in the environmental sciences and liberal arts.
Beyond these
foundational courses, students may also major in environmental sciences and related fields. Examples of these majors include:

Students may also get involved in “green” clubs, and environmental organizations. There are also many opportunities to hike and do other outdoor activities in the nearby Adirondack and Green mountains.
Green Mountain’s admissions requirements are also progressive. First of all, Green Mountain College does not require ACT or SAT scores. Also, while they consider an applicant’s GPA, they also consider extracurricular activities and special talents.
Green Mountain College awards academic scholarships and scholarships for those who have demonstrated a commitment to the environment. Students may also apply for need-based federal awards like loans and grants. To apply for financial aid, applicants must submit a FAFSA.
