Hocoma is the global market leader for the development, manufacturing and marketing of robotic and sensorbased devices for functional movement therapy. The Swiss based medical technology company was founded in the year 1996 as a limited liability company by the electrical and biomedical engineers Gery Colombo and Matthias Jörg and by the economist
Peter Hostettler. Hocoma develops innovative therapy solutions working closely with leading clinics and research centers.
Today, Hocoma has over 160 employees who work in the headquarters near Zurich and for the subsidiaries in the USA, Singapore and Slovenia. They are a truly international company and employ persons from 25 different countries. At the headquarters in Switzerland, 35% of the employees have an international citizenship and enrich the Hocoma team. Because they care about education, they offer projects and first steps into work life to interns, students and postgraduates. In addition, they currently have four apprenticeship training positions in Switzerland.
