they taught children English using a methodology developed by a BYU professor. They saw the success of that semester and after graduating they wanted to provide a way for others to have that same experience of living abroad and experiencing another culture, providing meaningful service through sharing the English language, and having uplifting experiences of growth by traveling with other volunteers of high standards. ILP has grown from that school in Russia to now having sent nearly 7,000 college-age volunteers to make a difference in multiple countries all around the world.
