Data generated thus far suggests such biomarker can identify early stage breast cancer patients that will benefit from bisphosphonate adjuvant treatment improving their overall and invasive disease free survival. It can further predict at an early stage a patient's risk of metastases relapse from primary tumors. The selectivity of the lead biomarker has the potential to advance the clinical standard of care using personalized medicine.
