While some community colleges emphasize workforce development or continuing education, Itasca Community College’s main focus is its transfer curriculum. Itasca’s academics provide the general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree at any Minnesota public university, as well as the College of St. Scholastica and select North Dakota
universities.
Other Itasca transfer programs lead to specific majors, such as Education, Engineering, Psychology or Business. Many of these programs give you valuable practical experience; for example, Education majors gain teaching experience in their freshman year.

To apply to Itasca Community College, complete the online application and send an official high school transcript or GED. The only other admissions requirement is a placement test, which you can take at any time before you register.
Financial aid is available in the form of federal grants and loans, as well as institutional scholarships. The scholarship applications become available in the middle of January, with a completion deadline of March 1.
