Latin Rim provides value to Portfolio companies in the following ways:
- Working closely and fluidly with key executives in the company building process, both at the board level and, to a more limited degree, on a day-to-day basis.
- Catalyzing their Portfolio ventures’ development within the 550m person Spain and Latin America market, where they leverage on their excellent inroads, regional knowledge and operating experience.
- Leveraging on Latin Rim's global networks and working relationships as well, to further provide effective and specific assistance in the areas of business development, recruiting, partnering, and financing.
- Following a "Keiretsu" approach, identifying and exploiting synergy within their Portfolio companies.
Latin Rim was founded in 1999, with the sponsorship of Banistmo, a leading Latin American bank. Their track record features close to $100m in invested capital since 1992, including investing experience in the US, EU as well as Latin America. Their completed investment cycle IRR exceeds 25%. Through the third quarter of 2001, their portfolio's aggregate revenue was at $54m, and collectively their Portfolio ventures had raised over $200m.
