About the Company
Lumoptik has developed a light-based needle guidance platform technology with many high value medical uses. The company's first product is a needle guidance system for epidural procedures. There are over 11 million epidurals performed in the US. The system is inexpensive and easy to use. Razor and razor blade commercial model with an
electronic controller (razor) and disposable sterile fiber optic (razor blade). We have the commercial version in production for clinical trials and have met with the FDA. Product launch is planned for mid 2021. We have also performed a proof-of-concept animal trial for an orthopedic system to guide placement of pedicle screws during spine surgeries. This is our second product in the platform technology.
