MyNetDiary Inc. is a nutrition tracking and weight management technology company founded in 2005 in New Jersey by Sergey Oreshko (CEO) and Vasili Smaliak (CTO). The company launched its flagship calorie tracking app in 2007 and has grown to over 30 million registered users worldwide as of December 2025. MyNetDiary is headquartered in Boca Raton,
Florida and operates with a team of 35 employees, including five Registered Dietitians and Diabetes Educators.
The MyNetDiary app provides food and exercise tracking, weight loss planning, macro and micronutrient analysis, intermittent fasting tracking, blood glucose monitoring, and AI-powered meal scanning. The platform tracks up to 108 nutrients per food item, drawing from USDA FoodData Central and the University of Minnesota Nutrition Coordinating Center (NCC) research-grade databases. The food database contains over 2 million staff-verified items, with 2,000 to 4,000 daily reviews conducted by an in-house database team to maintain accuracy.
MyNetDiary offers a free tier that includes calorie and macro tracking, barcode scanning, exercise logging, a water tracker, a shopping list, and daily coaching tips without advertisements. Premium subscriptions, starting at $5 per month, add features including structured diet plans, 600+ dietitian-designed recipes, intermittent fasting protocols, advanced health trackers, wearable integrations, and AI-powered tools including AI Coach, AI Meal Scan, and AI Restaurant Menu Scan.
MyNetDiary Professional Connect provides dietitians, nutritionists, and personal trainers with a free platform to monitor client nutrition data, review food diaries, and share guidance within the app. There is no per-client fee or subscription requirement for professionals.
In January 2026, MyNetDiary conducted a week-long food logging speed comparison across five major nutrition apps, logging 127 identical food entries in each. MyNetDiary required 711 actions to complete the logging task, compared to 877 for MacroFactor, 1,003 for Cronometer, and 1,035 for MyFitnessPal.
MyNetDiary has been ranked #1 in Forbes Health's Best Weight Loss Apps (2025), rated #1 by a study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, recognized by The New York Times as "simpler, quicker, and better-looking" than competing apps, and featured in Today's Dietitian Magazine alongside WW and Noom. The app has also been named a Best Nutrition App by Healthline.
In September 2025, MyNetDiary launched PlateAI, a standalone AI-first nutrition coaching app.
