As part of the Oklahoma CareerTech System, the Northwest Technology Center in Alva, Oklahoma, prepares students from Major and Woods counties for some of Oklahoma’s most in-demand occupations, from legal office assistants to graphic designers.
The Alva campus offers many exclusive concentrations within the Automotive Collision Repair field,
including:
* Combination Collision Repair Technician
* Glass Replacement Specialist
* Damage Appraiser
* Refinishing Technician
The other academics available at the Alva school include:

* Medical Office Assistant
* Advanced Pharmacy Technician
* Desktop Publisher
A wide variety of non-credit, short-term courses are also available in specialized topics, including square dancing, guitar lessons and t-shirt quilting.
To support you throughout your training, the school offers a variety of counseling services. Whether you need help identifying a career plan, tutoring in a specific area or even getting used to a college-level education, the Alva faculty and staff are there for you.
The center is accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, which ensures that the education you receive will prepare you for entry-level employment in your field.
The center maintains an open admissions policy to welcome high school graduates and adult workers who have a diploma or GED. Before being admitted, incoming students must complete an assessment exam to determine which course of study is best for them.
Residents from the Alva serving district will qualify for discounted tuition.
Students who file a FAFSA and demonstrate need will be considered eligible to receive NTC financial aid through federal Pell grants and Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant programs.
