Perfect World engages in the research, development, operation, and licensing of online games primarily in the People's Republic of China through its subsidiaries. It develops online games based on its proprietary game engines and game development platforms.
Perfect World's portfolio of self-developed online games includes client-based
online PC games, such as Perfect World, Legend of Martial Arts, Perfect World II, Zhu Xian, Chi Bi, Hot Dance Party, Pocketpet Journey West, Battle of the Immortals, Fantasy Zhu Xian, Forsaken World, Empire of the Immortals, Return of the Condor Heroes, Saint Seiya Online, Swordsman Online, Holy King, and Legend of the Condor Heroes; and various Web games and mobile games, including Return of the Condor Heroes, Forsaken World, CrossGate Mobile, Forever Mars, Dawn after Dark, Swordsman Mobile, and Saint Seiya Mobile. It also has rights to operate DOTA2 in mainland China.
Perfect World also has operations in North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and southeast Asia. Yufeng Chi founded it in March 2004.
Perfect World's headquarters is in Beijing in China. It operates as a subsidiary of Perfect Peony Holding Company.
