ProjectX Technologies is building Infinity, a cloud-native operating system designed for the era when half the users of a computer are not people.
Every existing operating system bundles all running applications onto a single shared pool of compute, memory, and resources. Infinity inverts that. The unit of allocation is the application, not the
machine. Each app gets its own MIG-sliced A100/H100 GPU partition, hardware-isolated and bound to that app for the session lifetime. Apps cannot starve each other. Linux and Windows applications coexist in the same workspace with a shared file system. AI agents run as first-class users of the OS, with their own persistent compute, memory, and state — not as roommates borrowing a human's laptop.
The platform is live in production today, serving customers in robotics, autonomous vehicles, simulation, and creative production. End-to-end streaming runs at ~21ms with sub-10-second cold starts. Cost per engineer-hour runs ~70% lower than equivalent Citrix or AWS WorkSpaces deployments.
Infinity ships the first server-side package manager ever built, a shared workspace file system, and a composable terminal that pipes across full GUI applications, each on its own dedicated GPU.
ProjectX is a Delaware C-Corporation headquartered in San Francisco with an engineering subsidiary in India. The company is part of Y Combinator's P26 batch and was founded in 2022 by Rounak Adhikary (CEO), Bishal Karmakar (CTO), and Sourya Majumder (COO).
