Proximity is a multimedia company that produces films, TV, soundtracks, and podcasts on often-overlooked topics. Proximity develops a range of projects from small-budget productions to large-scale films. Its first film, Judas and the Black Messiah, received six Academy Award nominations and won in two categories. The company also produced Space
Jam: A New Legacy, which debuted at number one at the U.S. box office. Proximity worked with Hulu on the documentary Homeroom, directed by partner Peter Nicks. It co-produced Creed 3 with MGM Studios and is also involved in producing Underrated, a documentary about Steph Curry, alongside Apple Original Films, A24, and Unanimous Media. The audio division produces podcasts such as Wakanda Forever: The Official Black Panther Podcast and In Proximity. Proximity Music has contributed soundtracks for several films, including Judas and the Black Messiah, Space Jam: A New Legacy, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
