Founded in 2016, Qima was first established to source coffee from Yemeni smallholder farmers in the midst of the civil conflict, and has grown to become Yemen’s largest and most impactful specialty coffee exporter. After achieving significant impact at scale in Yemen, Qima announced its expansion into Colombia in 2020, and into Ecuador in 2022, as it evolved from being a single origin exporter, to a multi-origin coffee sourcing business with equitability at its core.
