active growers, Roots partners with landowners to regenerate underused land, increase biodiversity, and reconnect people with nature. The company’s mission is to get 250,000 people growing their own food by 2033, tackling loneliness, food security, child education, and soil health along the way.
Roots has raised over £6M from investors including JamJar Ventures, Active Partners, Sir Terry Leahy, and Red Bus Ventures. Each Roots community generates recurring revenue through membership fees and product sales, making the model both impactful and profitable.
