About the Company
Incorporated in 1992 by Jon Lear, the Salt Lake City-based Ruby Mountain Inc. isn’t located far from its’ namesake. Jon chose to name his company after the mountains closest to his father’s birth place in Lamoille, Nevada – The Ruby Mountains.
The Rubies, “known as the Alps of Nevada” are a true scenic and environmental jewel among the many
mountain ranges located in the Great Basin in the Western U.S. – and as such have always represented to Jon and his family a place where the aridity and rigors of the surrounding desert are harmonized and integrated with an extraordinary and verdant alpine environment.
