SafetySpect is the developer of an engineering platform system utilizing edge computing, optical sensors, cameras and AI (Machine learning) in handheld devices. SafetySpect's products focus on surface contamination detection and food quality characterization. The company's CSI system provides real-time, reliable detection of harmful
contaminants at a fraction of the costs of legacy technologies. Overall, SafetySpect is a software/data-driven company with proprietary sensing and diagnostic devices that promote safety, enabling the public to detect and disinfect contamination invisible to the naked eye in seconds.
The company is developing military and commercial dual use technologies, and has established IP licensing relationships and technology development collaborations with NASA, US Army, USDA-ARS and has secured federal funding and technology development contracts via US Army. To date, the company has been awarded nearly $7.3 million in government contracts in addition to government grants of over $4.6 million and nearly $3.3 million of raised equity.
