Saint Cloud Technical and Community College is the perfect school for Minnesota residents looking to further their education.
SCTCC has rolling admissions, so prospective students can apply whenever is convenient for them. Individuals must submit with their application their official high school transcripts and a $20 non-refundable application
fee, in addition to taking the Accuplacer Assesment test.
ESL students are required to take a language proficiency test, and any student entering the health/human services programs will need to pass a background check
SCTCC offers more than 100 scholarships each academic year for individuals who qualify for financial aid. Additionally, since 1999, the SCTCC Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships. Applications for financial aid will be reviewed by a panel that is looking for individuals who are committed to a specific program of study; involved with family, school, or community activities; can demonstrate leadership and how life experiences have influenced their personal growth; and show scholastic achievement.
This school also offers tuition payment plans for students who need to defer tuition and other costs, but do not qualify for funding, loans or grants. Students who choose to defer their payments will be required to pay a $30 processing fee for each deferment agreement, and must pay the entire balance before the end of the semester.
Saint Cloud has several academic programs for students to choose from including business, construction technology, manufacturing technology, nursing, and transportation technology. Each academic program has its own set of majors, ensuring that students receive the widest range of employment possibilities available.
Campus life at SCTCC is tailored around its students, which is why this school offers childcare, healthcare and leisure, recreational and civic engagement opportunities.
