Schmidt, Kranz & Co provides time produced shaft conveyors for the shafts of the potash + salt industry as well as tunnel boring machines for driving lines for customers in Germany and Russia.
In 1922, Prof. Karl Glinz took over the company and added other business fields, such as the production of tractors (Normag) and the production of
various products for coal mining.
The mining engineer dr. Hans-Karl Glinz joined the company in 1937 as a descendant and also expanded the product portfolio to include the production of drilling machines for degassing.
His son Dr. Hans-Caspar Glinz took over the company in 1981 and was responsible for the takeover of the "Maximator", with which products from the field of high-pressure hydraulics could now also be offered.
In the meantime, the company has developed into a powerful SK holding company; The actual departments have grown into independent companies and other companies in adjacent product areas have been added.
