Seton Hill (not to be confused with Seton Hall) is a Catholic liberal arts university. The gorgeous pastoral campus serves over 1,500 students, and has been coeducational since 2002.
Despite its religious affiliation, Seton Hill’s admissions are not limited to Catholic students, and the school emphasizes intellectual and ethical growth more than
spirituality.
Seton Hill University’s academics currently include over 30 undergraduate programs and about a dozen graduate programs. Of particular note are the school’s “Signature Degree Programs,” which are Seton Hill’s oldest and most renowned academic concentrations. The two Signature Degree Program disciplines are Visual and Performing Arts and Health Sciences. Some of the more unique majors available include Art Therapy and Music Therapy, which combine the two disciplines.
The university’s financial aid office strives to make tuition more affordable for all Seton Hill students. There are a variety of options available to those who qualify, including federal work-study and loan programs, as well as extensive institutional scholarships. The criteria for these scholarships vary from academic achievement to excellence in the arts, athletics, or community service.
Seton Hill stresses the importance of student life, and provides numerous opportunities to get involved. From sports to theatre to ministry, there’s something for everyone at the university. Greensburg is also just 35 miles outside of Pittsburgh, so the resources and entertainment of a large city are just a short drive away.
