Located in Hollywood, Florida, Sheridan Technical Center is one of the oldest technical schools in Broward County. Sheridan’s academics include professional certifications in:
* Arts and Information Technology
* Business
Operations
* Cosmetology, Barbering and Spa Services
* Court Reporting
* Medical Assisting
* Surgical Technology
Sheridan Technical Center also offers GED prep courses and ESL classes for second-language learners.
Students who wish to transfer to a local community college may also use the credits they earn at Sheridan towards their associate’s degree.
Graduates who would like to seek work in their area of study may take advantage of Sheridan’s comprehensive career services department. Career services helps students to write effective resumes, develop interviewing skills, and look for work.
Prospective students will first need to attend an on-campus or online orientation for new students. They will then need to take the TABE entrance exam and interview with an admissions counselor.
Sheridan Technical Center offers financial aid through Pell grants and federal loans. They also participate in tuition assistance programs sponsored by such programs as the GI Bill and Vocational Rehabilitation.
