Spotsie is an event management platform that improves security and efficiency in oil facilities. The platform offers an energy-efficient positioning solution based on the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies that provide detailed location data on static and moving objects in indoor and outdoor environments. They envisioned how attendees could meet
each other by matching mutual interests and business preferences, and how organizers could act on real-time reports on congestion of conference space. To support the vision, they had to create a Bluetooth-based beacon system to handle indoor attendee location.
