Javier Santiso: Founder of Start Up Spain
Start Up Spain is born as a series of meetings with entrepreneurs, which seeks to promote the discussion of ideas that favor the emergence of more entrepreneurs in Spain, the arrival of more entrepreneurs to their country and a network of efficient investors. Through this entrepreneurial impulse it is to accelerate the transformation of Spanish
economic model to an innovation economy.
The series of meetings Start Up Spain has, as a double objective, to feed the political debate with ideas and have an impact on the future development of policies to promote entrepreneurship: entrepreneurs, technology companies and venture capital should occupy a priority.
Start Up Spain was born in November 2011 with the first conference Start Up Spain 2011 . Directed by Javier Santiso and driven (@javiersantiso), ESADE Business School has hosted in collaboration with the Rafael del Pino Foundation and Campus Party Spain more than 3,500 attendees face almost 2,000 more via live-streaming in their last six editions held, among whom were entrepreneurs, business angels, family-offices ... Highlight too, has had strong following Start Up Spain on social networks. In the last issue of the potential impact it reached nearly 500,000 Twitter accounts. For the fourth time they were trending topic in Spain.
S tart Up Spain aims to generate ideas and promote discussion about the venture. Therefore, they want the site www.start-up-spain.com serve as a forum for initiatives that foster a renewed institutional framework representing the interests of entrepreneurs.
