Company Performance Metrics
The Consumer Council for Northern Ireland promotes and safeguards the interests of consumers, and campaigns for the best possible standards of service and consumer protection. Set up by Government in 1985 and funded by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, our job is to speak up for consumers and give them a voice. We have a statutory
remit to represent the interests of consumers, with specific functions in relation to energy, water, transport, postal services, and food. In representing consumers we handle their complaints and enquiries, carry out research, and educate and inform them regarding their rights and responsibilities. We ensure policy makers hear the voice of consumers and take it into account when making decisions that affect us all.
