About the Company
Wavepiston provides a low-tech and modular system that converts the energy in the waves to produce clean power and clean water. With 190 tonnes per installed MW the Wavepiston has the lowest weight per effect in the wave energy sector, on par with bottom-fixed offshore wind farms. All offshore components are low-tech with a passive control system
keeping everything at sea as simple as possible. With no toxic materials and most of the system being offshore and submerged it is an environmentally friendly and “non-intrusive” system. The vision is to make wave energy a significant and integral part of the renewable energy transition with Wavepiston as a global leader in wave energy solutions for power production and desalination.
