WiSolar has been providing solar financing to homeowners in South Africa since June 2020 in an effort to make solar electricity accessible to consumers across the country and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
In 2022, WiSolar began enrolling residential property developments in South Africa on its green digital utility platform for low-cost, prepaid solar electricity. The WiGo app for WiSolar enables users purchase and recharge solar electricity per kWh.
