The Wistar Institute offers biomedical research and translational science services focused on basic discovery, early-stage therapeutic development, and workforce training. Their portfolio includes a cancer research centre that integrates genome regulation, cell signalling, and oncogenesis; a vaccine and immunotherapy unit emphasising immunology,
virology and immune-oncology; an HIV cure-and-viral-diseases centre targeting persistent infection and viral therapeutics; and a systems and computational biology core that supports large-scale data, modelling and shared resources.
