World Biotechnology is a synthetic biology company that will lower the cost of production in pharmaceuticals, biofuels, chemicals, nutraceuticals, and agribusiness, and reduce the carbon footprint along the way. WB has developed a proprietary technology to enable microorganisms to be significantly more efficient in the production of pharmaceutical
drugs, biofuels, oils, and any products made through bioprocessing.
DIRECT LIGHT TECHNOLOGY
World Biotechnology’s core innovation is the patented Direct Light
Technology. DLT is a synthetic biology platform that, when integrated into
microorganisms such as yeast, mammalian cell lines, algae, and
cyanobacteria, used in industrial biotechnology production processes,
significantly improves the efficiency of the process, resulting in
greater yields and shorter production cycles. DLT converts light
directly into chemical energy with several orders of magnitude greater
efficiency than photosynthesis and normal metabolism, even under near
dark conditions.
