Young Legal Eagles (Company No. 13838114) was established by Monty Lord to promote the rights, views and interests of children and young people (CYP) and the Rule of Law in policies or decisions affecting their lives.
It was born from the belief that everyone should know and understand their legal rights and obligations and know how to gain
redress through the legal system.
Young Legal Eagles provides legal information to children and young people, through printed and electronic media. This includes the development and publishing of guidance booklets and videos in multiple languages to benefit a wide public footprint.
The company also conducts research into legal matters of interest to children and young people and publish the findings.
Young Legal Eagles services were formulated around the child-centred principles set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in particular Article 12, which is all about the right of every child to freely express their views, in all matters affecting them, and the subsequent right for those views to be given due weight. Article 12 makes it clear that every child has rights, irrespective of their status.
The company fully supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace & Justice.
