Abby grew up on the coast of Massachusetts, and received a BA in Women's Studies from Mount Holyoke College.

She then went to work for Tim at Houghton Mifflin while going to library school.

She has MA and MLS degrees in History and Library Science from Simmons College

(graduating with dreams of working in a university archive).

Abby worked as a corporate indexer/cataloger before leaving to join Tim's little bookish startup.

Abby lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She loves running, baking, and has recently discovered gardening, in her small city-sized patch of yard.

Favorite authors—an ever growing list, including: Ann Patchett, David Sedaris, Sarah Waters, Ian McEwan, and George R.R. Martin.
