I am the Co-Founder and CEO of ByteChek.
For the past decade, I have worked in the cybersecurity industry, the last few years working as a consultant sitting in conference rooms performing cybersecurity compliance assessments for startups, mid-size companies, and fortune 100 companies.
Over these past few years I realized two things:
Compliance sucks and I was complicit in making it suck.
I launched ByteChek with my good friend Jeff Cook to Make Compliance Suck Less.
Prior to ByteChek, I spent time in the U.S. Army and at a national cybersecurity firm. Here is a little bit about me:
- I believe that the only way to fill the cybersecurity skills gap is by training and hiring more minorities and women -My most important job title is "Dad" - I have two amazing little ones (a 4 and 2-year-old) - I was a member of the Florida State University Basketball team from 2009-2011 and participated in back to back trips to the NCAA Tournament. - I am from Oceanside, California, and grew up on Camp Pendleton when my father served in the United States Marines - I am one of 9 siblings
