Albert S. Nagy is the founder and Managing Director of The Nagy Group, a business consultancy specializing in strategic planning and asset management. Mr. Nagy has over forty years of experience in corporate operations and finance, twenty as a CEO, COO or CFO. The Nagy Group also represents clients in mergers, acquisitions, consolidation,
expansion and relocation. Mr. Nagy has served as a court-appointed receiver and expert witness.
Mr. Nagy currently serves on the Boards of:
PFMG Solar, a developer of solar energy systems for public agencies
Mark IV Capital, a family investment company with extensive real estate holdings throughout the United Sates and venture capital investments
Rollingwood Partners, a family investment company with a focus on the clean tech sector..
Mr. Nagy has served on the Boards of:
Thyssen Krupp Elevator (DAX), third largest global elevator company in the world and the largest in North America.
SM&A (NASDAQ), the world’s leading proposal services company in RFP structured competitions, primarily defense oriented. The company was sold in December 2008.
King’s Seafood (Advisory Board), a Southern California restaurant chain with 16 locations.
The Olson Company, a California infill homebuilder, specializing in public/private partnerships, National Builder of the Year in 2003.
Direct Marketing Management, a paper product distribution company in the western United States.
The Complete Logistics Company, third party logistics provider specializing in all phases of transportation and supply chain management services.

Mr. Nagy founded and ran Birtcher Investments (1983 to 1991). In this capacity he raised $240 million in public partnerships, created a consulting company that handled over $750 million of work-out situations, created a pension advisory company and built a national property management company that operated over 16 million square feet in 13 states.
From 1973 - 1983, Mr. Nagy was a stockholder, a member of the board of directors and a Senior Vice President of Heitman Financial Services. Heitman is a real estate finance organization involved in commercial mortgage banking for large commercial projects and acts as a fiduciary and investment advisor to pension funds. During his tenure, Mr. Nagy arranged debt and equity placements involving 200 properties located throughout the U.S. totaling $1.5 Billion.
Mr. Nagy’s educational background includes one year of study at Essen-Heidhausen Gymnasium and Hamburg University (1963-64). Mr. Nagy received a BA with honors (Majors: Economics, Political Science, German) from Denison University and an MA in International Relations (National Defense Act Fellow) from Claremont Graduate School and did postgraduate study in Economics and Real Estate at UCLA.
Mr. Nagy’s community involvement includes serving two years as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Early Education, Los Angeles, CA; serving six years as a member of the Board of Trustees, one year as President, of St. Margaret’s School in San Juan Capistrano, CA; and served on the State of California, Council for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (1996-1998).
