Melzer, founder and CEO of zolar, graduated with a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Dresden. From the very beginning, his career has been dedicated to the solar industry: He initially worked as a Product Manager at Solarwatt AG, before moving to Canada and becoming Managing Director at Soventix Canada Inc., a global
solar project developer. After traveling and biking around the world, he moved back to Germany in 2016 where he founded the Greentech Startup Zolar together with his Co-founder and friend from university Gregor Loukidis. His vision: Changing the world’s energy generation to 100% renewable.
