Dr. Elam holds a doctorate in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has published extensively on the topic of business start-up. Her doctoral research on entrepreneurship has been recognized by the Academy of Management for innovative thought leadership. Prior to joining the Galaxy team, Dr. Elam recently completed two
years of Postdoctoral Research at top-ranked schools of management and entrepreneurship, including the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia and Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Dr. Elam is a Lecturer in the department of Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at NC State University. Dr. Elam is responsible for all day-to-day operations and business development activities at Galaxy.
