After setting up the DNA synthesis lab for Biogen, he joined Glaxo to develop novel methods for drug discovery on membrane protein targets and protein engineering. Later at Serono, he led drug discovery and early-stage development projects across multiple therapeutic areas, including the program on preterm labor that delivered several clinical
stage candidates. He also played a key role as Head of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in establishing medicinal chemistry and small molecule drug discovery activities. Prior to joining ObsEva, he was Director, Global Business Development at Merck Serono.
André Chollet holds a Ph.D in organic chemistry from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and was a postdoctoral fellow in natural products synthesis at the University of California, Berkeley (USA) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). He has authored or co-authored more than 65 publications.
