André Pienaar is Managing Partner, Founder and Executive Chairman of C5 Capital, a specialist venture capital firm focused on cloud computing, big data analytics, artifial intelligence and cyber security. He is also a Mentor for C5 Nebula which aims to empower women aspiring to engage in the tech space.
André founded C5 in 2014, to provide
long-term support, private equity and venture capital to innovative cyber security companies. The firm is made up of a varied international team of investors and entrepreneurs and has offices in Washington, London, Munich, Luxembourg and Bahrain.
A recognised expert on cyber law and cybercrime, André Pienaar started his career with Kroll in 1996 where he went on to hold the position of the company’s youngest ever Managing Director and also built and lead Kroll’s Africa & Natural Resources Division out of London prior to Kroll’s sale in 2004.
Following this success, André Pienaar went on to launch G3 (which stands for Good Governance Group), an advisory consultancy which provided advice on regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and cyber security to its global client base.
