Andy joined the VidSys Board after a distinguished career of over 30 years in multiple positions within the U.S. intelligence community, retiring from the Central Intelligence Agency, Senior Intelligence Service in 2002. With a strong focus on technology, IT and security systems, he managed both defensive and positive operations, with concentration
on protecting assets in the overseas environment.
His final federal assignment was as Associate Director of the DCI Center for Security Evaluation, where he managed the DCI’s physical, technical and counterintelligence security oversight of diplomatic facilities and construction worldwide to include the security design for US embassies in Moscow and Beijing.
After leaving federal service, Andy spent several years as Vice President of Global Security and Director of Special Projects at Goldman Sachs, where he provided facility physical and technical security design leadership for projects that included: the new $2.1 billion Goldman Sachs headquarters building in New York City; data centers in the US, Hong Kong, India and UK; and site selection and risk assessments for facilities worldwide.
He was liaison to the World Trade Center Master Security Plan design committee and Goldman representative to the NYPD Lower Manhattan Security Initiative.
He led efforts in selecting and testing curtain walls for blast resistance and is currently the Subject Matter Expert for physical and technical security, blast effects and blast mitigation technologies for the Countering Terrorist Tactics Support Office, the DOD interagency rapid research and development program.
In addition to VidSys, he is a Director or senior advisor to several other U.S. technology and security companies.
