Ankit Durga is the Co-founder and CEO at Fundamento. He is an alumnus of Harvard’s Executive Program for Strategic Nonprofit Management and an INK Fellow. Ankit spent nearly a decade in the skilling space before building Skillr. His vision is backed by years of experience and a nuanced understanding of the sector.
Ankit’s entrepreneurial journey
began in 2013 with Leap Skills with the idea that access to opportunity should not be a function of your background. After spending years working towards that goal, Ankit concluded that skilling was not going to be enough to address this gap. Thus, Skillr was born by approaching the solution from the employer’s perspective.
Ankit brings with him significant start-up experience and has worked in various managerial roles across both — corporates and start-ups. After finishing his graduation from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi University, Ankit worked with the Risk Advisory practice at Ernst & Young India. He then went onto work at start-ups such as Zomato and Happily Unmarried before co-founding Leap Skills.
Ankit has also been the youth representative for Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Program, a youth focused recognition program for students from across the world. As part of that, he was Invited by Prince Edward and the President of Malta for the international forum at Malta to discuss ways of improving productive youth engagement and participation of convicted youth in the mainstream. He actively worked with youth groups in South Korea for improved integration with suppressed North Korean youth.
Ankit completed his education from the prestigious Doon School and College of Business Studies, Delhi University.
