Dr. Anup D. Salgia, DO, FACEP – Founder & Chairman LifeMedix, LLC., – Board Certified Emergency Physician, Lieutenant Commander, U.S Navy, Medical Corps (ret.); Asst. Prof. of Emergency Medicine, Northeast Ohio University of Medicine. Anup is the Founder and Chairman of LifeMedix, LLC. In an effort to bring updated, fresh technology to an old
problem of fluid resuscitation in the field, Anup developed STATfusion™. STATfusion™ is an intravenous infusion device designed for use in combat and pre-hospital care. It is a platform device, as it has a multitude of uses that does not restrict its use to only IV resuscitation. Dr. Salgia is a board-certified emergency physician and practices at one of Ohio’s busiest emergency and trauma centers. While in the U.S. Navy, Anup served honorably with the US Marines. He was the Chief Medical Officer for the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations. While deployed, he led close to one hundred men and women in an operational capacity. He was involved in the Kosovo Campaign and several NATO and U.S. operations and exercises. In addition, Dr. Salgia was the medical director of a branch medical clinic at Camp Lejune Marine Corps Base. Under his direction, the clinic was awarded several distinctions. He has been awarded several distinguished military awards and medals.
Dr. Salgia trained at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and the Cleveland Clinic-MetroHealth-Case Western Reserve University residency program in emergency medicine. His academic interests are in acute strokes and trauma resuscitation. At Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, Anup led the emergency department in developing Stark County’s first acute stroke center. This stroke center now serves five surrounding counties. He is a spokesperson and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Northeast Ohio University of Medicine.
In addition to practicing emergency medicine, Anup consults for the private equity and the legal sectors as an expert. In an effort to help victims of personal injury, Dr. Salgia co-founded Physicians Acute Care Clinics where doctors, physical therapists, nurses, and chiropractors work in concert to help patients overcome their injuries. Anup is a member of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2012, bringing together the area’s business and civic leaders to elevate the Greater Cleveland area.
