Art McKinley is the founder and CEO of Zibra Corp., a manufacturer of precision micro-borescopes, OEM medical endoscopes and R&D optical system design. Art was co-founder of American Surgical Technologies Corporation (now Viking Systems), a venture-backed 3D video endoscope company, and is a Board member of Biovision Technologies, producing
office endoscopy equipment and disposable endoscopes. He holds a BS in Physics from UMass Lowell and has had five patents issued.
Zibra Corporation, located in Westport, MA, has been a strategic partner with New View Surgical since the company’s founding. Established in 1984, Zibra manufactures boroscopes for the industrial inspection market and micro-medical endoscopes for a variety of medical device firms. The company is compliant with ISO 13485 regulations and FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices requirements (GMPs). Zibra currently fabricates New View’s development prototypes and will assist in establishing commercial manufacturing.
