Arturo Malave is the Co-Founder and CEO at Boatrax.
Arturo Malave first entered into the world of technology and innovation in 1999 while working at solollama.com, one of the first voice over ip companies to service the latin american market with pre-paid virtual calling cards. Recognizing the potentiality of fusing marketing, product and
technology into one streamlined role, Malave shifted his professional role from marketing director with the company to director of web development. Responsible for website development, innovation and automation of the order-to-cash process. Malave is credited for being one of the first in the Latin American market to integrate a web interface that would allow customers to check in "real time" check their call lists and recharge calling cards via web. A very innovative approach to the low-tech top-up of the time.
Malave left Solollama in 2004 to launch his own consulting company in Venezula, Execute Sistemas Inteligentes where he and his partners created a customized CRM that would allow them to automate the consulting process for SAP implementations in the Venezuelan market.
In 2010, Arturo, was hired as the IT director for Avantiway in 2010 , a technology driven Real Estate company charged with overhauling the company's broker management system.
Malave entrepreneurial transformation went full circle with the birth of his first child in 2013 . At the time he and his wife were using a baby 'maintenance" application which allowed them to log feedings, naps, health updates and all pertinent baby care information with family members and other responsible care takers. One day while boating with his brother-in-law, and now partner, David Villegas he noticed how david was laboriously recording every maintenance aspect of their daily boating excursion and thought: "why don't we create a smart boat technology similar to the one the family is using to track the baby." This marked the birth of Boatrax.
Boatrax, recognized by eMerge Americas as one of the hottest tech start-ups in Miami just launched its first Kickstarter campaign with the intent of raising capital needed to bring the company into its second phase of development. The prototype for the Boatrax smart boat technology was completed at the end of the year 2017. Capital funding will be used to bring the product to market.
