Ben has been pursuing a cure for obesity associated chronic disease since his parents’ diagnosis with diabetes more than 25 years ago. He is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MelliCell, Inc. a biotechnology company based in Newton, Mass. MelliCell develops treatments for chronic diseases using proprietary tissue-engineering technologies that
model weight gain in human fat cells. Prior to starting MelliCell, Ben completed a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology and postdoctoral work at Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology.
