Ben holds a BASc in Mechanical Engineering and MSc in Kinesiology specialized in Biomechanics from the University of Waterloo. Considered a subject matter expert on the assessment and development of exercise programs for low back injuries Ben has published numerous groundbreaking academic papers and textbook chapters on this subject, lectured to
thousands of healthcare practitioners and worked hands on with hundreds of clients ranging from injured individuals to professional athletes. Prior to founding Fortius, Ben founded two companies providing in-person and virtual exercise training services focused on active individuals/athletes looking to rehabilitate or prevent injuries. It was these past experiences that helped Ben formulate the idea for Fortius Labs.
