Bernd Hardes is the CEO of ECONA AG, a Venture Capital and Private Equity boutique based in Berlin, Germany. He co-founded the firm in 1999.
He is also a co-founder, advisor, investor and board member of several successful companies like the energy broker Ampere AG or the communications agency aperto AG. As a co-founder of bmp AG, the first
public VC Company in Germany, he has built a track record in early stage investing since 1997.
Bernd Hardes is a member of Investment Committee of two early stage Venture Capital funds managed by b-to-v Partners AG in Luxembourg.
His industry background lies in the field of marketing and communication as well as finance. He spent two years with Deutsche Bank in Germany and Singapore and worked as a senior consultant with Scholz & Friends Group in Berlin. Mr. Hardes holds an M.A. in Business Administration (“Diplom-Kaufmann”) from the University of Passau in Germany.
