In 2007, Brad Playford envisioned a more efficient solution to monitor and provide care for patients while reducing nurse staff utilization. The result was the AvaSys patient observation and communication platform, now rolled out at institutions across the United States. Playford was instrumental in bringing this solution to market.
The parent
company, AvaSure Holdings, Inc., also includes a security firm Playford purchased in 2004.
Prior to AvaSure, Playford held executive sales and marketing positions in high-growth technology ventures. From 1989-1994, he was vice president of sales and marketing with V-Systems, a leading network communications software company.
From 1995-2003, he worked in various senior management capacities with Power Circuits, Inc., later part of TTM Technologies, a leading manufacturer of printed circuit boards. As vice president of marketing and strategy, Playford led the process of renaming and rebranding the company, culminating in an initial public offering in September 2000.
Playford received his bachelor’s of science degree in materials and logistics management from Michigan State University in 1983.
