Brendon Cassidy is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Wilshire Axon (http://wilshireaxon.com/), a digital design firm exclusively dedicated to helping businesses win in this rapidly changing world. Since inception, Brendon has overseen the development and growth of the company, taking it from a business plan to its current position
as one of the leading digital innovators in North America.
Brendon built Wilshire Axon (http://wilshireaxon.com/) based on his 20 years of experience and always remaining fascinated by technology and the impact of digital. This constant curiosity has allowed Wilshire Axon (http://wilshireaxon.com/) to transform some of North America’s biggest companies such as Madison Square Garden, Sony Music, CBS, Yahoo, Cricket Wireless, Experian and AOL, into leaders in innovation and ultimately win in this rapidly changing world.
His mantra to success was instilled through out his 7 years at Virgin Digital as CTO. Responsible for creating path-breaking digital products for one of the most recognized and demanding entrepreneurial companies in the world, Brendon drove the evolution of the business through developing revolutionary products, including the Internet radio service Radio Free Virgin. His biggest achievement however was realizing one of the most valuable lessons of his business career: even the boldest ventures are certain to succeed if the right plans are in place form the start. It was with this principle he has been able to drive the success that is Wilshire Axon (http://wilshireaxon.com/).
Prior to this, Brendon worked in Disney Internet Group’s entertainment division where he guided the development and deployment of high-profile web destinations to support Disney’s many film, television, video, and radio properties. He left Disney to help launch Universal’s $50 million Internet music venture Farmclub.com – a website, record label and television program dedicated to the discovery, development and promotion of independent artists.
Brendon is a founding member of the LAMCII, LA Mayors Council for Innovation and Industry, a group of LA based entrepreneurs committed to invest, grow and support LA’s vibrant business ecosystem. Additionally, Brendon sits on the advisory committee for several companies he co-founded and which are now operating as stand alone businesses. These include Hello Music, an online marketplace and social commerce platform for musicians and Fat Cloud, a cloud enabled application platform that allows enterprises to build, deploy, and manage next generation .NET applications.
A software engineer from an early age, Brendon also has a BA in music and theater from Wabash College and a MFA in music and new technology from California Institute of the Arts. Brendon continues to compose music to this day. His modern opera The Man Outside has been performed in both Southern California and Pittsburgh, PA.
