Brett White has served as a Realogy director since January 2013 and a member of our Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Compensation Committee since April 2013 (and as the Compensation Committee's Chair since August 2013). Mr. White is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in commercial
real estate services. Previously he served as Executive Chairman with DTZ Holdings plc, where he led the execution of its merger with Cushman & Wakefield in September 2015. Before joining DTZ in March 2015, he served as a Managing Partner of Blum Capital Partners, L.P., a global real estate related investment firm, from January through December 2013.
Previously, Mr. White had a 28-year career with CBRE Group, Inc., the world's largest commercial real estate services firm. At CBRE, he served as Chief Executive Officer from June 2005 to December 2012 and as President from 2001 to 2010. He was also a member of CBRE's Board of Directors from 1998 until January 2013.
Mr. White currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Edison International and its wholly owned subsidiary, California Edison Company, a California public utility company. He served as a member of the board of directors of Ares Commercial Real Estate Corporation, a specialty finance company that originates, invests in and manages middle-market commercial real estate loans and other commercial real estate investments, from April 2013 to January 2015.
Mr. White brings to the Board nearly 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector, and he has served as chief executive officer of a Fortune 500 company. His wealth of operational experience on a global scale, financial acumen and in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry are qualities which the Board considered in appointing Mr. White to the Board.
