Brian has spent the last decade on both the supply and demand side of digital publishing and advertising. He was responsible for building out the paid media practice at Ketchum, the paid social practice at Assembly (AdAge's 2018 Media Agency of the Year), and the paid media and analytics practice at JPL Integrated Communications. He is the
founder of both Alister & Paine Magazine and Topple Ad Network and is the Chief Advertising Officer at Olympic Media.
Aitken's newest company, Topple, aims to provide a free-market solution for digital advertising free from political interference.
After founding his first company, Vertical Trips, Aitken dropped out of Rutgers University with enough course credits to matriculate in order to pursue his interests in digital connectivity and marketing. In 2011 Aitken was accepted to the Global MBA Program at the Manchester Business School yet opted out of completing his MBA in favor of exploring the underlying systems that make up the digital advertising ecosystem. He received his Executive Education from the NYU Stern School of Business and has been an active member of the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy since 2016.
